Zoe’s Place hospice volunteer decked Maghull house in hundreds of Christmas lights in bid to raise money

Mark Thomas and his Parents Laura and Steve decorate their house in Pimbley Grove West, Maghull for Christmas and raise money for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice

A HOSPICE volunteer decked his house in hundreds of Christmas lights in a bid to raise money.

Mark Thomas, 27, spent two weeks festooning his Maghull home with dozens of metres of fairy lights, an inflatable Santa and a light-up snowman.

It is the third year in a row Mr Thomas has decorated his home to fundraise for Zoe’s Place baby hospice, where he also volunteers.

Festive tunes are also played outside his house between 6pm and 10pm to encourage passers-by to dig deep.

Mr Thomas said: “The hospice loves it.The babies came down to see it the other night. They love the lights.

“They’ve got a sensory room in Zoe’s Place and they love looking at all the flashing lights.”

The display, on Pimbley Grove West, Maghull, will be on until January 3.
