HOLLYOAKS star and Strictly Come Dancing runner-up Ricky Whittle was charged with dangerous driving last night.
It comes after photographer Steve Farrell, 34, claimed Whittle drove into him after leaving a city centre nightspot.
The 29-year-old actor will appear in front of Liverpool magistrates on January 15.
Whittle’s Dodge Ram truck apparently struck Mr Farrell, leaving him with minor injuries, after the actor left Parr Street Studios.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: “Richard Whittle, 29, of Billinge, Wigan, Greater Manchester, will appear before Liverpool City Magistrates on January 15 charged with one count of dangerous driving following an incident on November 27.”
Bookie’s favourite Whittle was beaten in the final of Strictly at the weekend.
