A SOUTHPORT woman has appeared in court charged with child abuse offences in connection with convicted paedophile Colin Blanchard.
Social worker Tracy Dawber, 43, is charged with four counts of possessing indecent images of children, five count of permitting obscene images to be made, one charge of sexual assault on a child under 13, and a further count of facilitating the sexual assault of a child.
Dawber, of Guildford Road, appeared at South Sefton Magistrates Court via video-link from HMP Styal.
She spoke only to confirm her name and address and did not enter any pleas to the charges.
Dawber was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on April 6, 2010.
Blanchard, 38, originally from Norris Green, admitted a string of child abuse offences alongside nursery worker Vanessa George.
