A WOMAN driver is being asked to come forward after a teenage girl was hit by a car.
The 14-year-old escaped with just bumps and bruises after the accident in Southport.
She was knocked to the floor by a gold-coloured car in Hoghton Street, at around 3.45pm on Thursday.
Although the female driver initially stopped at the scene, she left before police arrived.
They are now appealing for her and witnesses to come forward.
