A TAXI driver rapist who attacked two women in south Liverpool has been locked up indefinitely.
Stephen Ord, 37, pored over obscene rape websites before carrying out the attacks.
Judge David Harris, QC, said Ord carefully planned his assaults on vulnerable, lone women as he imposed an indefinite sentence for public protection.
He ordered him to serve a minimum of four years before being considered for release.
But Ord smiled as he heard he could be released in just three years and 83 days, because of the time he has already spent on remand.
Liverpool Crown Court heard the taxi driver was fuelled by alcohol and drugs when he attacked a 77-year-old woman as she walked to a coffee morning.
The pensioner screamed for help as he punched her round the head, causing Ord to flee before he could carry out his sexual attack.
But, just two weeks later, he raped a 58-year-old woman as she took her dogs on an early-morning walk in Calderstones Park.
Following his arrest, police searched his home in Acuba Road, Wavertree, and seized his computer.
