PLANS to give Liverpool’s business district a £4m facelift will go out to public consultation this week.
Dale Street will be reduced from three to two lanes as part of the revamp that will also see Old Hall Street and Exchange Flags upgraded.
The plan is to re-pave and resurface the length of Dale Street and sections of Old Hall Street, providing access improvements for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
It is also proposed that traffic be removed from the Hatton Garden approach, which starts at the Queensway Tunnel entrance roundabout, to “achieve a better balance of movement” on Dale Street.
Unnecessary signs and street furniture, such as bins or poles, will be removed in all the streets.
The exhibition will be held at the Town Hall on Thursday, between 9am and 2pm, and Friday, between 9am and 5pm.
