3D film expert Max Penner of Paradise FX in Liverpool to make film to sell city on the world stage
A LEADING special effects guru is in Liverpool shooting a 3D film to promote the city at the World Expo 2010.
Max Penner, of Los Angeles-based Paradise FX, is working with Liverpool agency River Media this week to produce the 10- minute film.
He has previously worked with the director of the 3D blockbuster Avatar, James Cameron.
The film will feature places like the Albert Dock, and will be shown at the main entrance of the Liverpool pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo which starts in May.
Claire McKeown, of River Media, said the film was designed to set the tone for visitors to the pavilion.
Mike Taylor, creative director for Liverpool at the Shanghai Expo, added: “Liverpool is a word class city, exhibiting on a world stage and we want a world- class production to sell our offer, and Paradise FX are world leaders in their field and in demand all over the world.”
