THE woman at the centre of a bitter feud within Southport Conservatives has been sacked.
Jackie Glover, who allegedly threatened to “cause a lot of trouble” for Tory election candidate Brenda Porter, has been “removed” as association chairwoman.
A Conservative Party spokesman said she had failed to “properly support the general election campaign”.
A letter leaked to Lib-Dem candidate John Pugh lifted the lid on an astonishing dispute.
The correspondence, penned by Mrs Porter’s husband, Ken, accused Ms Glover of undermining his wife’s Parliamentary bid.
Last night, a party spokesman said: “Jackie Glover has been removed as chairman of Southport Conservative Association by the Conservative Party.”
