DETECTIVES investigating the death of a Southport nurse have revealed a list of missing items which are crucial to the case.
The body of Kate Mott, 35, was found inside a blue Ford Focus on Wyke Lane, Scarisbrick, last Thursday morning. A post mortem revealed she was strangled.
Officers are looking for the dark-coloured lining from the car boot which was missing from the Focus along with a green picnic rug, some cream-coloured bedding – which has a leaf pattern design – a set of house keys, and a dark-coloured gilet-style body warmer.
Detectives are also keen to hear from anyone who saw the Focus, registration number KC05FVG, between 5pm on Wednesday, January 20, and 8.30am the following morning.
Kate’s 31-year-old husband Brent Mott, of Everard Road, Southport, has been charged with her murder.
