Huyton teenager charged with manslaughter following the death of Lewis O’Brien

A TEENAGER has been charged with the manslaughter of 17- year-old Lewis O’Brien, who was shot in the chest last week.

The 16-year-old was also charged with possession of a firearm and perverting the course of justice.

He is due to appear at Huyton Youth Court this morning.

Lewis, 17, of Hathersgate Road, Huyton, received a single gun shot to his chest and was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital last Wednesday.

Police were called to a house on Hathersgate Road after neighbours heard a gun shot.

Three men are also on police bail in connection with the incident.
