A NEW £2m financial boost, to stop homes being repossessed, has been welcomed by a North West MP.
The Government money will be used to offer interest-free loans of up to £5,000 to families in danger of repossession or eviction in West Lancashire, after it was one of 30 new repossession “hotspots” identified by Housing Minister John Healey.
West Lancashire Rosie Cooper MP said: “Many families in difficulty don't know where to turn and many suffer in silence worrying that they will lose their homes.”
