POLICE arrested a man in connection with the shooting of teenager at the weekend.
A suspect, aged 20, from Vauxhall, was arrested by detectives from the Matrix Team, less than 24 hours after a 19-year-old man was wounded in an apparent drive-by shooting.
The victim was gunned down in the north of the city on Sunday at around 8.30pm.
A large police cordon was put in place around Stanley Road, Kirkdale, from the corner of Pansy Street to Orwell Road..
The teenager was found outside the Prince of Wales pub, but it is believed he may have been shot elsewhere and staggered there before collapsing.
