WIRRAL’S Burton Manor College and Chester University are organising a history day.
Members of the public are invited to hear historians from the college and the university’s department of History and Archaeology discuss war memories.
Dr Keith McLay, head of the department, said: “The War and Memory event will involve four lectures throughout the day, as well as lunch and question-and-answer sessions.
“The topics covered have always proved to be very popular with the public in the past, and the lectures will certainly be accessible to everyone, whether they have studied history or are simply interested in significant events from the past.”
The lecture will include talks on Vietnam, and the English Civil War.
The event on February 17 will cost £46, including lunch.
