HUNDREDS of families braved the winter conditions to party in Sefton Park and raise money for Haiti.
The Love Haiti fundraising extravaganza saw bands, dancers, choirs and drummers from across Merseyside come together to raise money for Haiti yesterday.
Hope Street Harmonies Choir, Liverpool Arabic Centre dance group and Eleanor Rees, who read poetry, were among the performers in the Palm House.
Wirral-based Methodist minister Rev Marcus Torchon also made an emotional speech about his family who live in the country.
Paul Barnard, project director of Liverpool Every Parent Matters Network, who organised the event, said: “Our organisation helps children and families and this event will help families in Haiti.
“It was a fantastic day with an amazing atmosphere. and lots of people bustling around enjoying the entertainment. People were so generous.”
