Liverpool bar Kingdom told to keep the noise down

A CITY centre bar was ordered to keep the noise down after neighbours complained the music was too loud.

Kingdom, in Harrington Street, was served with a noise abatement notice to limit the music volume earlier this month.

The order stems from complaints from people living in nearby flats.

Bosses at the cocktail bar said they had taken several steps to “nip the problem in the bud”.

Kingdom’s general manager Mat Cunningham said: “We were informed this is not a massive issue, but we are working together to make sure we nip it in the bud before it becomes an issue.

“We have taken measures to ensure we are mindful and respectful of the people living nearby who want an early night.”

A Liverpool Council spokesman said: “It is up to the club what they do to lower the noise.”
