OTHERS to receive honorary fellowships from Liverpool John Moores University in July are:
Liverpool-born founder of the Plain English Campaign, Chrissie Maher OBE;
Explorer Colonel John Blashford-Snell, who has led over 100 expeditions;
Director and principal of the Liverpool Theatre School, Norah Button;
Chair of the LJMU art and design academy fundraising board, and a former president of the British Chambers of Commerce, John Entwistle OBE;
Neston-born international scientist Sir Tim Hunt;
A Hard Day’s Night director, Richard Lester;
Justice of the Supreme Court, Lord Jonathan Mance;
Former director of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, David Molyneux;
Chairman of Timpson shoe repairers, John Timpson CBE.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Michael Brown told the Daily Post: “Our honorary Fellows have all demonstrated a great desire to pursue their interests and ensure they are recognised as the best in their field.”
