A MAN was critically injured after apparently throwing himself in front of a rush-hour bus.
The 32-year-old was hit by the vehicle opposite the Territorial Army centre, in Aigburth Road, Aigburth.
The crash happened at around 6.45am yesterday morning. Police officers sealed off the scene of the collision, causing heavy tailbacks for vehicles travelling into and leaving the city.
The man, who was from the Aigburth area, was taken to the Royal Liverpool Hospital for treatment.
