FIREFIGHTERS tackled a large blaze which broke out in a derelict building in Liverpool’s Docks area last night.
They were called to the property - described as a “warehouse-like building” - on the corner of Sefton Street and Pleasant Hill Street at around 4.50pm.
A large quantity of rubbish was found well alight and brought under control by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using a hosereel jet.
The fire was eventually extinguished at around 6.15pm.
