LIVERPOOL healthcare firm Kays Medical is providing a life-saving service to Formula 1 racing team Force India.
Its Hexafluorine product neutralises the deadly hydrofluoric acid from synthetic rubber seals and tubing when a vehicle engine bursts into flames.
Contact with the acid can cause severe burns to drivers and potentially a heart attack.
A Kays spokesman said Hexafluorine can absorb any acid that has penetrated skin.
