IPA is one of the Liverpool brewery’s most popular ales and already forms part of a key regional offering for Tesco’s wide range of beers.
Cains IPA is brewed with Fuggles hops – revered by ale enthusiasts for their quality and taste.
Many IPAs throughout the world no longer use Fuggles but the brewing team at Cains insist on them as part of an “Only the Best” policy on ingredients.
The Tesco contract is the latest in Cains’ ongoing recovery having gone into administration in the summer of 2008 before being bought back from the administrator by Sudarghara and Ajmail Dusanj.
In November last year it clinched its first major export deal with a Chinese distributor in Liverpool’s twin city of Shanghai for 12,000 bottles of its premium brew Cains Export Lager.
