Seaforth Mum and daughter both get rare form of ovarian cancer in 20s
The commonest strains of ovarian cancer are not thought to be hereditary, but some evidence has shown rarer forms may have a link to a “faulty gene” which can be passed down though families and Lisa has been told she has.
The family are supporting The Eve Appeal’s make time for tea fundraising campaign, pushing for more gynaecological cancer research.
Symptoms include persistent pelvic and abdominal pain, increased abdominal size or persistent bloating and difficulty eating and feeling full quickly.
