TEACHERS went on strike at a city school yesterday and vowed to stage more walk-outs if a bitter dispute over a controversial restructure is not resolved.
Parents and pupils arriving at Tuebrook’s Roscoe Primary School were greeted by eight placard-waving teachers and around 15 officials and supporters from their union – the NASUWT.
The row was sparked as the school is making job cuts, but at the same time looking to appoint two permanent assistant headteachers it believes are crucial to address failings identified by Ofsted.
