Liverpool mum tells about finding out her son had been killed by a pitbull dog

THE heartbroken mother of a four-year-old boy killed by the family pitbull told of the terrible moment she learned her son was dead.

Angela McGlynn recalled the moment she heard little John Paul Massey had been mauled to death.

And she released pictures taken from a treasured family album of the “mischievous” youngster taken during his short life.

The 39-year-old mother has since embarked on a crusade to campaign for better regulation of dogs.

She wants dogs to be muzzled when near children – and the introduction of more widespread microchipping.

Angela, from Wavertree, revealed how she:

Still keeps all her son's belongings at her home and sleeps with his favourite cushion;

Did not know the dog, Uno, was an illegal breed, having been told it was an American bulldog;

Does not blame John Paul's uncle, her brother Christian, who owned the illegal animal;

Neither she nor the rest of the family have returned to her mother's house in Ash Grove, Wavertree, where the youngster was killed.
