Chocolate good for liver patients

Potent plant chemicals in cocoa reduce potentially dangerous high blood pressure in liver patients. The effect was seen in a group of patients with serious liver cirrhosis.

Those fed about less than half an average-sized chocolate bar experienced a significant reduction in raised liver blood pressure. The findings were presented at the Vienna meeting of the European Association for the Study of the Liver.
