HILL Dickinson pledged £20,000 to an inner-city charity last night as part of its 200th anniversary celebrations.
The firm will also offer the Breckfield and North Everton Neighbourhood Council (BNENC) legal advice and help printing leaflets.
BNENC is a social enterprise charity that works in north Liverpool.
Hill Dickinson’s senior partner Tony Wilson said the money will be used to kit out the charity’s community centre with multimedia equipment, including a SkyTV package. Its nursery will also be given a complete makeover.
Mr Wilson said last night: “The current nursery will be fully restored and updated into a modern childcare facility, with state-of-the-art amenities, so that it can provide parents and children with all of the essential educational tools required for daily life.
“Following this investment, it is anticipated that the nursery will ultimately become self-financing, ensuring its future status within the community.”
A series of day trips and activities are also being planned for young visitors to the community centre to encourage the development of sports, communication and coordination skills.
Hill Dickinson employees are planning to help out with the activities by volunteering their time and skills, as well as working with the Community Foundation Network, to revive nearby outdoor spaces and gardens for local use.
