ORGANISATIONS and residents are being invited to take part in the Armed Forces Day celebrations in St Helens.
The event takes place on Sunday, June 27, at 12pm at the Cenotaph, in Victoria Square.
Organisations taking part are asked to assemble at the Hardshaw Street side of the Town Hall by 11.40am.
They will march from there at 11.50am promptly to the Cenotaph.
The Parade Marshal will liaise with the police and one representative from each participating organisation should report to him at 11.40am.
The Mayor and other councillors will join the organisations in the square.
Following a short service, there will be a short ceremony of “beating retreat” by the Pipes and Drums of 103 Regiment Royal Artillery (The Lancashire Gunners).
