A MAN has denied the manslaughter of a supermarket worker who died after an alleged confrontation with a suspected shoplifter.
Morrisons employee Maureen Marsh, 56, collapsed at home and died in hospital on April 19 last year.
It is believed she injured her head the previous day in the incident at the supermarket in Baxters Lane, St Helens.
Steven John Brighouse, 33, of Gloucester Road, Parr, St Helens, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday where he pleaded not guilty to manslaughter. He was remanded in custody until his trial on July 7.
