A SAND sculpture competition and BBQ are being held in Wirral to kick off the summer’s activities.
Several groups of teenagers have already signed up to sculpt their creations during the competition at Fort Perch Rock Beach, New Brighton, on Wednesday, June 30, from 6pm to 9pm.
The Mayor of Wirral Cllr Alan Jennings and the Mayoress Cath Jennings will view and select the Mayor’s favourite sculptures and present awards to the winners.
Cllr Jennings said: “This event is a great way for youngsters to show their creativity and make use of Wirral’s fantastic beaches.”
