Liverpool children chauffeured in taxis to Camelot on annual trip
TAXI drivers set off in convoy from Liverpool with car-loads of children for their annual trip to Camelot yesterday.
The Liverpool Taxi Drivers Association began the trip from their base in Cherry Lane, Walton. The Mayoress of Liverpool Cllr Hazel Williams, and the leader of Liverpool City Council, Cllr Joe Anderson, turned out to wave them all off.
The outing is now in its 25th year, after a fund was set up to give underprivileged children a day out.
