THE line-up has been announced for Liverpool’s first-ever Pride festival.
Former singer and Coronation Street star Adam Rickitt, Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists MD Productions, and Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton are among those performing.
The two-day event, organised by Liverpool’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGB&T) communities, is set to be a glittering extravaganza of music, dance and cabaret.
Gay icon Rickitt will headline with his new single, and his 1999 hit Breathe Again.
Club diva Rozalla will have everyone singing along to her anthem Everybody’s Free and Liverpool-based dance group MD Productions will perform their anti-bullying dance number They Don’t Really Know About Us.
Happy Mondays and X-Factor soul diva Rowetta will also take to the stage, joined by Liverpool dance troupe AJ Productions.
Other local acts performing include singers Tyler Menser, Chelcee Grimes and Mark Thompson, and Juice FM and Garlands DJs Dave Whelan and Anton Powers.
The entertainment takes place on Saturday August 7 and a “chill-out” day is being held the following day, with cultural and sports events throughout the city.
