TWO men were charged after allegedly planning to rob a cash van.
Police were called after a gang were spotted pulling up their hoods while sat in a car in Eastham.
Two of the men are then said to have run towards a security guard, who was stood next to a cash van making a midday stop at the NatWest bank in New Chester Road, on Tuesday.
But the gang allegedly fled when they saw police approaching.
Kayne Jones, 19, of Mandeville Street, Walton, and Lewis Audley, 23, of Woodhurst Crescent, Dovecot, were both charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
They will appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today.
A 44-year-old man from Eastham, a 31-year-old man from Croxteth, and a 37-year-old man and 17-year-old boy, both from Bebington, were also arrested following the alleged incident and have all been bailed.
