Former Beatles booking manager Joe Flannery unveils an unseen John Lennon artwork with artist Sven Reimers at the Hard Days Night Hotel 300
A NEW painting of John Lennon has been unveiled in Liverpool by a man who helped The Beatles find fame.
Joe Flannery was the Fab Four’s booking manager, responsible for making sure they had gigs to play.
The painting, by Hamburg artist Sven Reimers, is called The John Lennon Story and is on display in the Hard Day’s Night Hotel, in North John Street.
Joe, who brought Jimi Hendrix to London and discovered Abba, has been a fan of Sven’s work since the pair met 20 years ago.
Joe said: “For a long time in my career, I worked closely with The Beatles and can honestly say Sven’s paintings truly capture the essence of the band.
“Its portrayal of John over the years, with Yoko, in front of The Dakota Building and with the band, is second to none.”
