Everton FC ace Johnny Heitinga marries ex-Liverpool FC player's sister

EVERTON FC’s World Cup star Johnny Heitinga is marrying the sister of ex-Liverpool FC midfielder Bolo Zenden.

The Blues’ Dutch defender will take centre stage in tomorrow’s World Cup final when Holland play Spain in South Africa.

But, just days later, the Everton number five will celebrate his love with Charlotte-Sophie Zenden, whose brother, Boudewijn, played for the Reds from 2005-2007.

The couple will exchange vows at a wedding ceremony in Ibiza on Thursday, just two months after officially marrying at a registry office.

This week’s three-day wedding party starts on July 14 and there will be a farewell lunch on the third day.

Charlotte-Sophie said: “Preparations are running smoothly. Right now I am doing some small decorations and some trivial things.”

But it is expected the bride-to-be will take a break from Ibiza and make the trip to Soccer City, Johannesburg, to watch her beloved in the biggest game of his life.

Heitinga is not worried about the busy schedule, saying: “We’ll just go for it and then get married.”

The couple have been together since 2004 and have a one-year old daughter together called Jezebel.

Heitinga, 25, said: “After our daughter’s birth, I would gladly like to take the next step. This is the crown on our love. We will say ‘I will’ to each other in Ibiza on July 15.

“Charlotte-Sophie is everything. Life of a footballer looks simple and carefree, but it takes a strong woman to do things on her own.

“But Charlotte-Sophie will always follow me, wherever I am. I admire her hugely.

“She was pregnant when we moved to Spain where I joined Atlético Madrid and we now live in England.

“Charlotte-Sophie never complains and takes care of everything.”
