Woodvale vintage car rally
THE very best in vintage motors roared into a rally in Merseyside this weekend.
The Woodvale rally returned once again to wow crowds with a collection of Cadillacs and Morris Travellers and model aeroplanes overhead.
Motor enthusiasts turned out in their hundreds to compare notes about their classic cars at the annual event at RAF Woodvale, Formby.
For true petrol heads an “autojumble” was a chance to pick up rare and elusive parts.
A family friendly range of attractions including the original “Wall of Death Tour” and the West Lancs Dog Display Team entertained visitors to the show.
Marking the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, a special show was put on in tribute to World War II heroes.
A full sized replica Spitfire proved to be a crowd-pleaser, and was displayed alongside other military attractions and displays.
