A 61-YEAR-OLD man was taken to hospital after a fight broke out on a Merseyside street.
Police received several calls from the public at about 3.15pm yesterday saying a fight was taking place near the Ramada Plaza hotel on the Southport seafront.
The man sustained minor injuries that needed treatment at hospital.
Two males were arrested and were last night being dealt with by officers.
A police spokesman said that during the incident a retired police officer assisted in detaining one of the males.
