THE younger sister of suspected honour killing teenager Shafilea Ahmed has been arrested after a robbery at her parents’ home.
Alisha Ahmed, who was with her terrified family when raiders struck, was detained by detectives in the early hours of the morning after a assault on the house in Great Sankey, Warrington.
Today it emerged she is being quizzed over allegations she organised the robbery at the Liverpool Road property.
The Daily Post understands Alisha was inside the house with her terrified siblings when raiders struck, but three hours later she was arrested by detectives.
Police are examining suspicions that Alisha was implicated in the incident and was aware it was going to happen.
The 22-year-old, currently in custody, was at home when robbers burst in at 10.15pm on Wednesday and tied up members of the family.
Up to three men threatened Farzana Ahmed, Shafilea’s mother, along with two adult daughters, one of them Alisha, and a brother as they brandished weapons.
The Warrington woman was questioned yesterday on a charge of conspiracy to rob.
It is thought the 22-year-old does not live with the family on Liverpool Road.
