AN ELECTRONICS giant has created 150 jobs on Merseyside with a new store.
Global electrical retailer Best Buy have acquired their fourth store, at Aintree Retail Park, with the grand opening taking place on Friday.
The 40,000sq ft store has several product areas which include a green section which sells electric bicycles, scooters and energy management devices.
Shoppers can “test drive” gadgets and take advantage of an audio-visual room with 3D televisions.
District manager Paul Minett said: “We have the latest and greatest in technology and won’t be beaten on price.”
For any technology novice, there are “Blueshirts” who work commission-free and can give impartial advice to customers.
In addition, there is the specialist Geek Squad, who provide shoppers with technology support and advice.
In the next five years, the global electronics retailer aims to create around 8,000 jobs in the UK.
General manager of the store, Matt Fowler, added: “Technology retailing has much room for improvement.
“So we aim to raise the standards in the market, through our unique combination of expert and impartial service, as well as the latest and greatest technology and great value.
“Here it is about helping people and getting the right product for them.”
