Cars damaged in Merseyside street fires

FIREFIGHTERS were called to two cars that were on fire in Merseyside last night.

One crew was sent to Kinder Street, in Everton.

A fire appliance was alerted at 8.56pm and the vehicle was severely damaged by the fire.

The crew was stood down at 9.33pm, and no one was injured in the incident.

Another fire crew was also alerted to a car that was on fire in Lordens Road, in Huyton.

The crew arrived at the scene at 7.38pm and that vehicle was also reported to be severely damaged by fire.

The team of firefighters were stood down at 8.13pm, with the crew having dealt successfully with the incident.

A spokesman for Merseyside fire and rescue told the Daily Post last night: “The one appliance was sent to the incident and the crew extinguished the fire.

“No-one was injured.”
