A MOTORBIKE-MAD soldier who died in Afghanistan was given a fitting tribute by former TA comrades.
Dozens of Steven Boote’s family and friends, TA soldiers and other servicemen and women took to the road in a Help The Heroes fundraising motorbike ride in his honour.
The military policeman, of Prenton, was one of five Šshot dead by a trainee police recruit in Afghanistan last year.
In his will, the soldier, 22, left his beloved bike to his dad, Tony, who has since had it customised into a trike so that he and Steven’s mother,Margaret, can ride the bike in their only child’s memory.
They joined the charity ride to north Wales, which started out from Steven’s TA base in Birkenhead.
