To disband the Taskforce but keep the Wildlife Liaison Officer and the “Immediate Incident Constable”. Work picked up by neighbourhood teams.

50 police officer posts and four police staff posts.

IT

Downsizing department and reducing payments to suppliers to the “minimum required to maintain existing ICT systems”.

Loss of five police officer posts and 18 support staff posts.

Saving – £2,310,000

CRIMINAL JUSTICE UNITS

Merge the four existing CJUs into one single unit at a loss of four police officers and 34 civilians. Bring in new ways of working, cutting 46 police officer posts and 34 staff.

Saving – £1,419,575

ACADEMY

Lose one site (from three to two).

Loss of 22 police officer posts and 15 staff posts

Saving – £1,108,790
