Actors and musicians join Hollywood producer to record Liverpool FC protest film

CELEBRITY Liverpool FC supporters poured out their hearts in front of the cameras for a new anti-Hicks and Gillett film.

Hollywood producers and directors shot the five-minute video at the city centre’s Hope Street Hotel as part of the campaign to oust the unpopular owners.

They hope once the video is uploaded to YouTube tomorrow, it will be watched across the world and turn into a “viral” sensation.

Echo and the Bunnyman’s Ian McCulloch, comic Ricky Tomlinson and This Is England and The Street actor Stephen Graham turned up on Saturday to add their voices to the growing chorus against the American pair.

It is being shot by Hollywood film producer Mike Jefferies, who wrote and shot football flick Goal!.

Filming co-ordinator Lindsay Inglesby said: “We’ve had over 40 high-profile actors and musicians.

“The testimonials that they are doing are incredibly emotional.

“We’ve got hours and hours of footage.”

Other familiar faces due to be on the film are actor Neil Fitzmaurice and Cast band member John Power. It is hoped the film will attract more than one million hits online.
