COURT staff in Liverpool and Sefton were recognised for their outstanding work at an awards ceremony.
The customer service team at Liverpool Magistrates’ court was named “team of the year”.
And a Sefton Magistrates’ Court acting deputy district justices’ clerk, Jane Wignall, was awarded the Community Engagement Individual prize. Ms Wignall said: “Although it’s an individual award, for me it reflects the hard work by everyone in Merseyside to change and innovate the way we run the court and the service we provide for local people.”
Liverpool Magistrates’ Court manager Liz Killian said: “I feel very proud to accept the award on behalf of Liverpool Magistrates’ Court staff.
“It is a team award, it’s for the whole court – magistrates, legal advisors, administrative staff, ushers – everybody contributed to it.”
The awards were handed out by Her Majesty’s Courts Service last week.
