John Lennon 300
A TWO-MONTH festival celebrating the life of John Lennon begins in Liverpool this weekend.
The John Lennon Tribute Season takes place between October 9 and December 9.
The beginning of the season marks what would have been John Lennon’s 70th birthday and draws to a close on the 30th anniversary of his death.
The season starts with the unveiling of the 18ft John Lennon Peace and Harmony Monument this Saturday at Liverpool One and two performances of the John Lennon Song Book 70th Birthday at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
Other programme highlights include a photography exhibition by Beatles photographer Astrid Kirchherr at Victoria Gallery and Museum, a Bed-In at The Bluecoat and concerts at The Cavern and Echo Arena, Liverpool.
