WIRRAL council has been named and shamed for failing to respond to meet Freedom of Information rules.
The authority is among two councils and a health authority in the North West – and 30 public bodies nationally – highlighted by the Information Commissioner.
Wirral Council, Lancashire County Council and the North West Strategic Health Authority are on the list alongside the Metropolitan Police, the Home Office and the Ministry of Defence.
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) said the organisations appeared to be taking too long to respond to requests made under the Freedom of Information (FoI) Act and would be monitored.
