YOKO ONO has donated an item from her personal wardrobe to raise funds for Alder Hey Imagine Appeal.
The wife of late Beatle John Lennon chose a pair of her iconic Porsche Carrera sunglasses and signed them for the charity’s Clothes Throw.
The event started with an online auction that will be live until Sunday, October 10. Guests were also invited to The Racquet Club in Liverpool today for an auction of clothes and accessories donated by stars.
Yoko Ono said: “I am delighted to be able to support this important fundraising initiative by donating a pair of my favourite sunglasses, the ones that John loved to see me wear. As honorary patron of Alder Hey Imagine Appeal, I know how much the funds are needed to support the pioneering work of this wonderful hospital.”
The event will be hosted by fashion designer Kirsty Doyle and costume and jewellery designer Benna Harry.
