A GENERAL practitioner who accessed porn websites while working at a Liverpool surgery has been removed from the medical register.
Kenneth Mason was reported to the General Medical Council (GMC) after looking at the internet pages on his Kensington Park Practice computer. He was working as a locum at the time.
Around 3,000 inappropriate images were discovered on his PC, but none of them contained illegal material.
A GMC hearing in Manchester heard how the doctor asked to be voluntarily removed from the register due to ill health, and papers released relating to the case reveal the panel granted his request. Much of the hearing was in private.
