Family of Bebington boy in need of life-saving transplant makes plea for donors

THE family of a boy who needs a life-saving transplant have renewed their appeal for people to come forward as donors.

Elliot Wild, eight, is battling leukaemia and needs a bone marrow transplant.

The Anthony Nolan Trust has organised an event to see if a match can be found in Liverpool.

His mother Jackie, from Bebington, said: “People associate the word transplant with a big operation, but all you need to do to help Elliot is have a saliva test to see if you are compatible, and then give three doses of blood.

“Please help us save our brave little boy.”

No family match has been found.

The event is at St Anthony Of Padua Parish Hall, in Elmsley Road, Mossley Hill, on November 7 from 11.30am to 3.30pm.

You must be aged 18 to 40, and weigh more than eight stone (51kg).

It is also a requirement to be in good health.
