CELEBRITY chef Simon Rimmer and football legend Alan Kennedy joined forces with students to put fun on the menu of pensioners.
Pupils from Broadgreen International School teamed up with the BBC 2’s Something for the Weekend host and Princes Trust Ambassador, Simon Rimmer, to prepare afternoon tea for a group of elderly members of the Anfield and Breckside Community Council.
Former Liverpool FC fullback Alan Kennedy was also on hand to entertain and offer refreshments to the guests.
The Broadgreen pupils are in their first year of a Prince’s Trust school-based programme, Excel.
The course is aimed at students who have struggled at school.
