FORMER Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar and Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson are among the famous faces lending their support to a new campaign to raise awareness about lung cancer.
The disease is the UK’s biggest killer cancer, claiming the lives of more than 35,000 people every year.
Other names who have been photographed displaying X-rays of a healthy pair of lungs as part of the awareness campaign include comedian Ricky Gervais and Hollyoaks actor Emmett Scanlan.
The initiative has been developed by The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
