A WATCHDOG committee last night raised concerns about how Liverpool City Council is being restructured.
Labour chairwoman of the regeneration select committee Beatrice Fraenkel said she was “very concerned” that it was “not clear” how long the reorganisation would take, and questioned why regeneration boss Nick Kavanagh had not attended a meeting since being drafted in to replace former regeneration chief John Kelly.
But cabinet member for regeneration Cllr Malcolm Kennedy, taking questions from the committee, said he had “full confidence” in the officers working for him, including Mr Kavanagh’s deputy Jane Hettle, but admitted they were “under pressure” with the workload.
